Hello! I’m Emma - Event Planner and Founder of EJ Weddings & Events.

I provide all my clients with the highest level of planning and design service.

My clients remain in complete control of their wedding or event right from our first meeting, all the way through to the big day. I am here every step of the way to offer my expert knowledge, experience and give my unbiased advice and opinions.

When my clients hire me, they receive much more than just a wedding planner. I love getting to know them all on a personal level and at the end, I feel like a member of the family. If you want to hire someone who is equally excited about your event (sometimes more-so!) then look no further!

Most meetings are held over a coffee (or something stronger!) either virtually or face to face and my main objective is for my clients to ENJOY the planning process, to have a stress-free experience, and to want to do it all over again.

◽️HELLO◽️ I’ve had quite a few new followers turn up recently so, thought I’d best do a post and show my face 👋🏻(with a couple of different hair colours!). My name is Emma and I am the Founder and Wedding & Event Planner for EJ Weddings & Events. - I have been in the Hospitality Industry since I left high school (2005!) I studied catering and hospitality at college and had numerous jobs waitressing, bar work, weddings and events. Check the last picture back in my hotel days 🙈 - Fast forward to 2010 when I thought this industry wasnt for me and I decided to try a “normal” 9-5 in a law firm. I fine-tuned my IT, organisational skills and learnt A LOT however, I still didnt feel satisfied with my work, plus having a husband who is self employed made me see how much flexibility there was in working for yourself so…I decided to set up my OWN business. - I wont lie, its not an easy ride but anything worth doing isnt easy.

Couples always ask “what do we do first with wedding planning?” Most tend to just go straight on Google or go to the next wedding fair. My advice is…in order to have a successful wedding planning journey, some conversations are needed first… What sort of wedding do you want? Do you just want to elope on your own, or would you prefer the “more, the merrier”?Make sure you are both happy with whatever you choose and discuss all options. Budget. This can always be a difficult one for some but its extremely important to be transparent on this point, agree a limit and keep tabs of where you’re at with spending. Priorities. Its best to state your priorities at the start of planning. Then you have time to compromise and discuss (if needed). Is your priority the catering or the photography? Or something else? Make it known so there are no misunderstandings. I can guide you through these conversations and make them easier to navigate and take the stress away by keeping tabs on your budget and do all legwork with researching the most suitable locations and suppliers for you.

A week already since J&J’s beautiful day starting in Chelsea and finishing in The Decorium. Myself and Amy were brought in to assist Occasion Queens execute this fun filled day and make sure everything went to plan for this wonderful couple. Wedding Transport I don’t care if Google says its a 5 minute car journey....on your wedding day IT IS NEVER 5 MINUTES! I mainly refer to the Bride and Bridesmaids on this point... For example...Bridesmaids, all looking stunning in their dresses, hair and makeup done, high heels, bouquets, bags getting in and out of vehicles...it takes time. Then the Bride...if you’re going to have a big dress...that takes time making sure its carefully placed in the car and not trapped in a door. Hair, makeup, photos....I promise you, that 5 minute car journey will be more like 15 minutes. And if you’re putting on transport for guests - best give them an extra 10 minutes!
